Our appraisals include on-site examination of the items, inventory of the items to be appraised, digital photographs, market research, valuation, and a final written appraisal report. The report will have a general description of the appraised item(s), estimated age, measurements, condition, digital photograph(s), and an estimated value of the item(s) on the date examined.

Steps to take before we arrive:

If you are organized, the inspection will be more time and cost efficient.

1. Decide which items need to be appraised and make a list of those items.
2. We ask that the time scheduled for the appraisal be during a time when distractions can be minimized so that we can focus on the appraisal.
3. Gather documentation, such as sales receipts, newspaper clippings, certificates, previous appraisals, letters etc...
4. Have all items unlocked and readily available for inspection.
5. Pull large furniture away from the wall.
6. Provide the most amount of lighting available in the home.
7. Separate sets of silver, china and stemware.

Fees:

Charged hourly for on-site inspection, research and documentation time. Additional charges may apply for travel expenses. A deposit is required at the time of the inspection, with the balance due upon delivery of the report.
